The Quiet Between
To be or not to be, that is the question – a breath caught in the hollow of dusk, where shadows stretch like whispered doubts, and the wind murmurs of paths not taken. To linger in the pulse of half-forgotten things, to become the echo – or the silence that swallows it, each choice a stone dropped in still water, rippling out to the unseen edges of a life. Perhaps it is enough to stand at the river’s edge, to watch the current carry what it must, each bend a soft forgetting, a letting go, the water moving on, without witness or weight. So, let the days unwind – slow, unremarked, let the hours drift – like leaves on a patient tide, until the line between breath and shadow blurs, and to be, or not, becomes just a whisper in the wind. -Shagun Gupta The Quiet Between © 2025 by Shagun Gupta is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
