To Err is Human

A human is a farce creature,

The accent of his own feature,

Each one carrying, on back, a litre,

Out of zones and horizons, he is a seeker,

Perpetually overreaching, he propels the potential,

Limits, he overestimates, but is it superficial?

Knowledge is the greatest possession he has ever held

But if knowledge is power, is it not material as well?

Thirst is not what the mind thinks it is,

It is the desire that makes him what he is,

Hunger is the most primitive of human instinct,

Then why is it shunned by all as if it’s a sin?

Hope is just a skin-deep power play

Another desperate attempt to overpower fate.

What is the grandest mistake human has ever made?

It is blurring the line between what he is and what he should have been,

He is a fool who mistook mistake as a mistake,

Every word to the heart like a knife as a punishment.

Each deed with a lapse of judgement, in stone, it’s set,

If that is so, no one ever saw heaven, nor ever got out of hell.

Then why, folks, others are accused of evil?

When in sheep’s clothing, we too are devils.

Passions are not errors in morality,

It’s the drive that drives the humanity.

This is the verdict of virtue which is divided,

Yet the seats which make the discernment are vacant.

Now, the clock has turned and the howl needs liberation,

Take it as a hearsay or a proclamation,

Or a declaration of each spirit which says,

To err is human.
